Good for families

Spotless site, Awful male warden.

We arrived at this site an hour early as we had travelled from the south coast, we didn’t think it would be a problem and took our dogs for a quick walk. On our return the male warden had appeared and started having a go oat us for parking there early and we should move immediately, he was rude and so unhelpful and told us to park in the industrial estate for an hour… I was so upset I wanted to go home I felt so unwelcome but my husband persuaded me to stay and give it a try. I think this chap need to go on a customer service course because if he talked to my customers like that he would be on a warning if not sacked as it looks by previous reviews this is not the first time. Also there wasn’t any information about the t.v. Point on the hook up??? We didn’t have t.v. For the week but not a problem, but would liked to have known about it. The wifi is patchy and not worth the £11 for the week. Other than that the site is spotless and shower block is spotless, and the area outstanding. I would say was a bit unnerving having people in hi vis jackets coming round checking every night, what are they checking? Everyone in bed?… The Yorkshire Dales are beautiful people are lovely so don’t be put off use a different site.

I would have thought that between Hawes and South Coast that you could have walked your dog and killed an hour.

Well done to the Warden.

Early arrival rule breakers are a real and increasing problem. Arrival times are clearly stated and are there for good reasons of safety and fairness to all members.  If you do not wish to abide by the club rules perhaps Dex22 should leave and join a different organisation.

What a strange revue

You arrive an hour early and leave your outfit unattended, probably blocking the access drive, what is the warden supposed to think. Wardens are fed up with selfish people ignoring the arrival times. He was within his right to ask you to move your outfit.

You say you couldn't watch tv because you didn't know where the tv point was but it was not a problem. So why complain.

As for men in hi viz jackets, why didn't you ask them what they were checking, nobody on here can tell you.

It sounds like you may have been embarrassed by the first scenario thus sowing the seeds for this revue.

ARRIVAL TIMES ...One of the problems is the variation in arrival times. Why oh why arnt ALL CLUB sites open at 12 mid day. All leavers off by 11am.  Simple for everyone.

Arrival times/departure times confusing ?
Easy,  have a look at the site information before you make the booking.

Abide by the basic rules and you won’t have a problem with site staff - simples!

Hawes is one of our favourite sites and always find the staff friendly and helpful.

TB22 why can't people just read the details for the site they've booked/are about to book  it's not that difficult. Some sites have a lot of staff, others don't & that can affect the arrival &  departure times .
