Our favourite!
We have just returned from another enjoyable week at Hawes. Although it was very busy over the bank holiday weekend, the hard working wardens kept everything running like clockwork, and the site and facilities were kept clean and tidy as usual.
Our only gripe was the number of members who seemed unable to drive at 5mph around the site, even though several children were about, some of whose parents or carers didn't seem to care where the kids were as long as they were out of their way.
Could the club have speed cameras around the sites, and enforce a " 3 strikes and your out "policy? Or even some warning signs indicating that speed cameras are in operation?
The wardens should ideally remind everyone as they check in about the speed limit, and when they see anyone doing more than 5mph, take the registration number and the club send them a warning letter.
