Had this site booked for new year for over a year. After the horrific tales of flooding in Yorks and Lancs in the news we nearly cancelled. Glad we didn't as this site, although close to the River Ure, is safely perched on high ground and despite lashing rain and wind on some days of our trip it remained well drained and accessible. Phone  and tv signal reception is hit and miss but the WiFi and telly hook ups are useful on a dark winters night. Hawes was a great for new year with lots of cosy  hostelries.  We recommend The Crown for food. The shower block is getting a bit tired by caravan club standards but has plenty of hot water and is clean and well kept. There is a good games room with table tennis , pool and table football...a bonus on a cc site . overall a great site in a fantastic location.
