This site is in an excellent location for getting out and about from either on foot, bus or car. Sadly we were extremely disappointed in the site itself. The site has no security barrier (gate is put across entrance at 8pm and you need to get out of the car to open it to drive through which is not my idea of good security). A barrier/keypad would be a great improvement. The site is very crowded and there are no hardstandings which were sadly missed in the recent wet weather although the site does drain well. The site is so busy that if you do have a good pitch it is 'eyed up' as soon as anyone departs and there are them members already on site moving from pitch to pitch. The shower block is in need of a complete refurbishment as it is old and tired. The water pressure is haphazard and the showers don't drain well and the shower block is cold. My wife tells me she liked the hairdryers in the privacy cubicles though instead of them in the inconvenient communal hadwashing area as on sites. The site is mainly quiet (except for the inconsiderate member in the van next door with their loud television and even louder snoring in the night!!). The wifi on site was good, the wardens pleasant and hardworking however this is not a site I would venture back to in a hurry until it is updated.
