Really nice site and a very pleasant stay

We completed a 5 night stay at this site on 2nd September and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Both Ann and Martin were very kind and helpful and the site is really well kept and peaceful. It was a great base for us to visit a lot of local locations and we saw some wonderful sunsets from the harbour and the kids loved the crabbing. We will definitely be returning.

Quietly charming

We booked for three nights but stayed for 5,thanks to Ann and Martin for making this an enjoyable stay at the end of a short touring holiday. Plenty to do,long walks along the coast, swim in the sea, great local in the Harbour Inn where staff also couldn't do enough. Lots to like.

4 great days

We spent 4 nights at this wonderful site at the end of August. Our hosts Ann and Martin were so welcoming and full of information about local walks, petrol, local pubs, smokehouse on the way home. They went out of their way to ensure we did not have to move pitches despite being very busy and full. The site is spotless and the COVID 19 arrangements excellent. The area is lovely for coastal walks and nature watching. There are lovely villages to visit nearby and querky shops and bookshops in Wigtown. Overall we were sad to leave the peace and quiet and lovely scenery.

Our 'go to site' to relax

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Garlieston Club Site. We have been returning to this site for a good few years now and like to visit a couple of times a year. It is approx a 3 hour drive from our home. The site is in the beautiful village of Garlieston in Galloway and the area is well worth visiting. The Harbour Inn, in the village does great food and there is a little garage which sells essentials. The site is extremely well looked after and the facilities always spotless. Ann and Martin work extremely hard to keep everything perfect to allow a great stay. Even during these difficult times of covid 19 Ann and Martin continue to offer an excellent experience to everyone visiting this site. What more could you ask for.

Our hideaway.

A lovely site in such a peaceful location. This site is helped by the wardens, Ann and Martin, who keep everything spotless and run the site so efficiently going out of their way to help if needed. In my opinion they run the site how sites should be run, they are friendly, professional and are there to help but aren't intrusive or overbearing as can be found on some sites. Don't forget to visit The Harbour Inn where friendly owners and staff always make you welcome. They sell lovely food and sell the best pint of Guiness on the mainland. The fish and chip van in the village on a Friday evening also sells lovely food. Thank you once again and looking forward to our next visit.

Great escape to life again!.

Our first time to this part of Scotland and we will definitely be coming back to Garlieston. It is the perfect place to be based with the advantage of having lovely scenic walks from the site and beautiful coastline places to visit within a short drive. Anne and Martin are perfect site managers, making us feel safe and comfortable in a well maintained site. Even the rain and stormy weather didn't spoil anything, loved the time we had here just wish it was longer. Mike & Irene.

Excellent

An excellent stay, our third. Wonderful pitch overlooking the water, helped by near perfect weather. Relief wardens friendly, first class and helpful in trying to extend our 3 day stay (we eventually succeeded due to a cancellation). Some attractions closed due to Coronavirus, but plenty to see anyway especially with good weather.

Just keeps getting better

This is our fifth visit to this wonderful site - it's a credit to the CAMC and all due to the work of the Site Managers Anne and Martin. Facilities spotless, Covid angles all covered - additional cleaning, gel, separation etc

Great to get out again

Love to end our holiday at this site. It is so relaxing. Also close to the ferry for going home. The Harbour Inn was very organised to allow us to feel safe and the food was good too. The site is well organised to deal with Covid and to help people feel safe out in the world again. Missed the shop in reception. Good for dogs with walks in either direction.

A credit to the Club

Another visit to this lovely site on the day it fully opened again after lockdown. As usual Anne and Martin are wonderful friendly wardens and keep the site in perfect order and are a credit to the club. The site is set on the seafront of the lovely olde world Village of Garlieston and has access to the pier for fishing and great dog walks and beaches in the area. This is an ideal site for a quiet get away with great views of the bay. Keep up the great work guys. Julie & Rod Blake
