Just booked a third stay here, travelling from the Wirral. Gaer Hyfryd is a little gem! It is far enough away from civilisation to keep the rif-raf away but with enough facilities to be a great caravan site. Nerys & John couldn't be more welcoming. The first time we came was with our new caravan and reluctantly gave in to John who offered to site the van on the pitch. Wow! He couldn't have done it more perfectly, fully levelled with his own blocks etc.. making the best of the amazing views. I had no hesitation in taking him up on the offer on the next visit. Great area with lots to do but, a great site to just take in the views and for peace and quiet. Toilet block clean and washing area good too. We have 2 kids under 16 who are happy without lots of facilities but, the play area is great to kick a ball round, play frisby or, use the basket ball net. It is far enough away from the vans to be of no noise nuisance. We will keep coming back and can't wait till the next time!
