A peace 😉 of perfection
This club site is an absolute gem which we have now been to several times and will certainly do so in the future. It is extremely peaceful, partly because with little for small people to do on site, it’s not the best site for families and partly because of its location down a small lane away from main roads. There is very little plane noise either. Our visit this time was due to an urgent need to de-stress and, being lucky with the weather, Fairlight exactly hit the spot. It’s small and perfectly formed with very nice wardens. The setting is lovely, surrounded by trees with grass between all pitches and the birdsong is beautiful. Come in bluebell time and you’ll be stunned! The walks are endless and very varied - woods, fields, seashore - with stupendous views from the tops of hills. Plus, with the help of an OS map, they are generally very well signed with stiles and gates in good condition. Be aware if you have a dog that many of the fields are full of sheep. As one reviewer also commented there are some fairly serious hills to climb/pedal up but it’s always worth the effort. We live only an hour away so don’t tend to go out and visit places we already know but Rye and Winchelsea are lovely and Hastings is good fun. We left after 4 nights refreshed and restored (although by the time our van had banged and crunched home over the appalling East Sussex potholes we were somewhat shaken rather than stirred!!)
