Chose a pitch for our motorhome that was central and so away from trees and thought it was ideal for our 4 night stay. Only a small site so short walk to clean, warm facilities block and to local pub. Warden was very helpful and small shop sells basic items including local walking maps (in aid of Air Ambulance). Great shorter walks available in Guestling Wood immediately opposite campsite, and easy access to lots of other longer walks and cycle routes (with a few challenging hills !) Walked to Hastings via public footpaths which led along cliff tops and through Hastings Country Park where you can see Exmoor ponies and Galloway cattle bought in to manage the heathland. Fantastic walk through a lot of wooded glens including some steep tracks and steps. Well worth doing if you enjoy hiking - about 14 mile round trip. Found the whole area very cycle friendly too which we enjoyed and lots of local attractions to visit. For us, who wanted to bike and walk the locality, and who wanted a nice quiet site in beautiful surroundings, it was definitely the right choice.
