a tricky one to review
We stayed 6 nights recently. The usual immaculate facilities block. We were allocated a choice of two pitches both of which were taken. Ended up in what appears to probably have been at some point, a quarry. This is probably the least nice part of the site. The pitches are very uneven and blocks are required. A bit untidy too, the vegetation around each pitch needs attention. The pitch next to us was surrounded by nettles. Pitches in the main part looked much better. Wish we'd settled on one of those. The site is in a wood. There are many trees on site. Just so you now. shady. There is no provision for children. Now child-haters will be pleased but if you are also intolerant of dogs you will be disappointed. No problems brought about by dogs though, but note there is no dog walk, just a path through the woods which has very rough terrain and require stout shoes or boots. Pub a short walk through said woods but I wouldn't tackle the route in the dark. The road to the village has no footpath and is surprisingly busy as is the village of Pett. No footpaths either. Most of the niggles I have with this site are nothing to do with the site itself just the roads being dangerous for pedestrians, terrible phone signal and a bit to much shade(Made the place cold and dank) Would I stay again? unlikely
