We have just come back from our second week here in two years. It is a great access point for the surrounding area and has good walks from the site and close by. Hastings Country Park is not far and offers numerous walks. The pub through the woods, The Two Sawyers is great and the Royal Oak further away in the village is super for food too. There is a relatively new cafe in the village called Tic Toc and is well worth a visit as their cakes are to die for. The site is well presented and the facilities clean. The wardens were welcoming and friendly. My only beef was the hose on the Chemical Toilet point was too short and stiff so rinsing the cassette was difficult. I can see us going back again next year as we have more to explore. The Steam Giants of Brede are well worth a visit but be aware that opening times are rare.
