A lovely quiet site surrounded by forest - the only noises were those of the birds. Whilst we we were here although we had glorious sunshine for the first few days, the rain was relentless for 24 hours one day and we were caravan-bound for the day, but the site remained fully functional and even though we were at the bottom of the site, our hard standing pitch remained dry :) With so much to do and see here, we booked another night. Facilities lovely and clean and the wardens very helpful and friendly. We used wifi here to stream a couple of programmes and it was perfect ......
Just lovely
Stayed here for three nights after not having been here for a good few years and can only say it was a lovely site. Very clean and quiet, nice local walks and a couple of nice pubs. Slightly narrow road approaching the site, but otherwise can't fault it.
Second Visit
We stayed here on the last weekend before it closed for the winter. We were disappointed we wouldn't be able to stay again until last weekend, the site was spotless with helpful and humorous. The site has new wardens who are equally helpful and we can't wait to visit again. Bunty our little loves the walk through the woods to the delightful Pub! Incidentally we found the Internet reception excellent at the top of the site where we stayed last year and at the bottom of the site where we parked this time. Definitely recommend this site.
Dog friendly site
Second time at this site, the surroundings and access to the walks were perfect for our dog, the size of site and facilities made it a nice getaway haven. The only issue was TV reception at the bottom end of the site, it was non existent and the grassed verges were saturated, but that is expected after a storm. Can't wait to visit again.
Nice Quiet Site
Very good clean site with very helpful Site wardens.
Only problems we had was poor TV reception and internet signal. Toilets and showers very clean.
We would recommend a visit to this site.
Love this place!
This was our second visit and we love the peace, tranquility and natural surroundings. My children climb the trees and forage in the woods, no need for a play area, they can lose hours in the wild.
I love the fact I can watch while they play, while relaxing in beautiful peaceful surroundings. Toilets are clean and well kept. Nicely situated for Hastings, Battle and loads of more interesting places to visit.

Fairlight good
Nice location surrounded by woods,we stayed during the recent hurricane Katie incident and found although it was very windy the site proved to be nicely sheltered by the trees and no-one on site suffered any damage.Very friendly wardens and clean toilets etc;would recommend this site. The only gripe is that it could do with a signpost at the bottom of watermill lane and on the A259.
Peace, quiet and wildlife
We spent four days before Easter on this lovely site. So peaceful. Surrounded by woodland; a haven for wildlife - we woke each morning to the sound of woodpeckers. A 10 minute walk to the friendly Two Sawyers pub and to the bus stop for the bus into Hastings (the Pett Post Office shown on OS map is now closed so make sure you have cash for the bus fare as no cash machine).
Another hidden wonder
We have been to this site on a number of occasions and as usual a great time was had by us both, even though storm Katie came for a visit.
We stayed for a long weekend as it was my birthday, friends came to stay overnight. We went for a meal at the Two Sawyers. Good food great company, highly recommended. The wardens were amazing and very thoughtful, facilities amazingly clean. No wonder it is a fully booked site. I wish it wasn't so nice, I wouldn't be compelled to do a review so that the site is always full. Please reopen this site all year.
Easter weekend
Just spent Easter weekend on site, friendly helpful wardens, clean and tidy site and facilities. The only thing missing were site markers at end of Friars Hill and Watermill Lane.
