A lovely peaceful and well run site in a beautifully scenic area. Very close to Dulverton, a little town steeped in history. Could not fault the team running the site, if only all wardens were as good. Cannot recommend highly enough. This was out third visit and we will be back.
Great location - walks from the site
Lovely site - clean and quiet. Great for walking and dogs. We found 3 main routes out of town into hills, forest and moorland. Tarr Step is about 6 miles one way and you can either go there and back through a mainly forested route or turn it into a loop across the moors.
Lovely site
We were very pleased when we stayed on this site for 3 nights. Plenty of dog walks in birridge woods or along the river. Very convenient to the lovely local village of Dulverton. The fish & chip shop was reasonable and food lovely. The site facilities are excellent too. Very clean and well thought out in the shower cubicles. Overall very impressed.
I would say to anyone new to this site ….to look out for the small site sign as you come over the bridge, if you miss the turning by the bridge then it will be difficult to find a way to turn around in a Motorhome or caravan as the road narrows quickly.
Lovely walks from this site
We have stayed in this site many times over the years and keep coming back. There are some amazing walks straight from the site. There are a variety of lovely shops a five minute walk away and a Co-Op and a brilliant Butchers in Dulverton so you don't need to take a lot of food with you as it is all there in the village and well as a Chip shop which is excellent.
My only complaint on this visit is the fact that Nobody on site could get TV. There is a TV connection point on the electric bollards for a booster system which has always been adequate for a reasonable TV coverage. On this occasion this did not work at all and we were told the Club is no longer servicing this booster system. Just a warning to Members who cannot do without their TV whilst on holiday.

still a gem .
It was great to be back to our most favourite site ,all credit to the lovely wardens who keep the place spotless and blooming with the lovely flower displays ,love Dulverton village with all its amenities on your doorstep ,great fish and chip shop and lovely watering holes all dog friendly have already booked to come back.
Favourite Site
Another year and another stay at our favourite site and very hot weather, it also
has two of the best wardens Keith & Debbie you would ever wish to meet.
The site was looking lovely even with Keith recovering from a broken ankle and
doing what he can and Debbie running the site almost single handed so well
done Debbie and hope the Club reads this.
Hopefully will return in the autumn and defo next year.
Very busy
We visited during a particularly hot week in July. The site was full over the weekend, which we were aware of when we made booking. A few pitches became vacant on the Monday. It was the luck of the draw if you could find a pitch with shade. Many have no shade.
Some pitches have no grass division at all between them and back right up to the wall.
The site is very well maintained and the wardens (Keith and Debbie) are amazing, friendly and very helpful. They have knowledge about walks and the local area in general. They do a great job.
The are local walks from the site, especially along the river. The village of Dulverton is only a 5 minute walk away with a good variety of local shops, mostly independent, Thai restaurant, fish and chip shop and pubs.
NT properties such as Knightshayes and Killerton can be visited if you wish to travel a little further or you could go north to Porlock and west along the coast.

Exmoor Ecstasy
All large level hard standing pitches and some serviced surrounded by woodland, the River Barle and historic Dulverton. Two excellent shower blocks. Good boosted tv reception and mobile and wifi. A well kept delightful site by 2 of the best wardens who clearly love their job. The town is an absolute delight and offers lots of browsing opportunities as well as good places to eat catering for a range of culinary tastes and a local coop should you need groceries. A gentle stroll through the woods takes you to Marsh Bridge tearoom where the cream teas must be sampled - freshly baked scones still warm from the oven. Another gentle stroll along the road and beside the river brings you back to the campsite. Also worth visiting are the Heritage Centre - a mine of information about the town and its history and the model railway display. A walk to the weir and the information leaflet add more insight into the town’s history.
Our return is guaranteed.
Lovely site in the heart of Exmoor
Lovely fairly intimate site, doesn't take long before you're on friendly terms with most folks on the site, Two toilet blocks on a fairly small site makes life a little easier in challenging times. Gorgeous scenery and the site is well sheltered by the majestic hills and trees around. Very easy 5 min stroll into the lovely little town of Dulverton. Good Pub and first class restaurant, Deli, Co-op open till 11pm, loads of fascinating shops in a thriving town. Nearby towns of Minehead, Tiverton and Particularly Dunster are worth exploring. Travel a little further to Lynmouth and Lynton, take the Toll road from Lynton via the Valley of the rocks to Hunters inn, not for the faint hearted but a lot of fun. Nearby are the Tarr steps for a lovely walk up the river and a spot of Lunch at the Tarr farm inn.
Perfect site to explore Exmoor
A really lovely and cosy site, next to a river as mentioned above. You can have a cooling bathe or wade at Tarr Steps, about ten miles away, which is well worth a visit. The wardens are friendly and helpful; Dulverton village is about 5 minutes walk with lots of places to eat and a well stocked Co-op store. One of the best sites we've been to, in a perfect location - we'll definitely be back soon.
