Just returned from a really enjoyable 5 night stay. What a gem of a site. Beautifully kept by the excellent team of wardens. Pitches are level and well placed in peaceful terraced glades with abundant bird life.The new covered disposal points are a great asset, well situated without being obtrusive.The site is within easy reach of the Lake District, Carlisle and all the Roman sites along Hadrian's wall. I feel the site would benefit from more serviced pitches given there are no facilities. However I do feel the provision of facilities would spoil the site. We will definitely be back.
