Firstly can I say what a great welcome we received from the Wardens. A laugh and joke on arrival went a long way to settling us on site before we had even pitched! When we did we were amazed by the beauty of the site and its location. The peace and quiet was something we had never encountered on a CC site before and we do tend to go to the quieter ones. We are not noisy people but it made you feel like whispering so as not to disturb the caravanning idyll! We were on our way home from a 14 day break and stopped only one night - what a pity we couldn't extend the stay!!! The site is lovely and surrounding area begs to be explored and the Fox & Pheasant in nearby Armathwaite serves excellent food at good prices. We have marked this down for another longer visit as soon as possible.
