Lovely site but not great for kids...

This is a beautiful, peaceful site with lovely dog walks which are directly accessible. We stayed overnight here when returning from a two week tour of Scotland. Our pitch backed onto a wooded area, some branches had been placed at the back of the pitch (apparently to stop dog walkers cutting through which is reasonable enough). My three daughters asked me if they could use some of the branches to make a den on the pitch which I thought was a lovely idea. They realised they would need to return the branches to where they found them once they'd finished playing. During their game one of the wardens came over to them and in a very cross manner told them they had to put the branches back as they had been placed there for a reason. My daughters were so surprised to have been spoken to in this way that they of course stopped their game straight away and began returning the branches; despite this the warden still walked away shaking his head at them. My eldest daughter was really upset and it put a dampener on the end of our holiday. I did speak to the warden to explain how upset my girls were (they are well behaved and polite and lack the confidence to mix with other children on holiday) and to stress that they had already planned to return the branches at the end of the evening but he didn't seem concerned. I wish he had spoken to me if he had an issue instead of approaching my children when I was inside my motor home making dinner.
