Stayed for three nights over the bonfire night weekend as the site is in woods with no view of fireworks to scare our dogs. Having said that, the site is brilliant if you like woodland walking. There are miles of tracks in the adjacent High Stand Wood. The nearest pub and shop are about 30 mins walk along forest and farm tracks (but opening hours are limited.) The site itself is well laid out amongst the trees with plenty of water points. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. We really like these CAMC no facilities sites, get locations but quieter than regular sites.
