just average

Really disappointed with the dog area. About the size of a garden for all the dogs on the site. They like their rules...have to keep the dog on the lead in this fenced off dog garden!

Great location for city break :-)

Great location, and great site, bus stops are close enough for a gentle stroll and easy access to many locations. This time we visited Dunfermline, the early Capital of Scotland with Palace, Abby, Andrew Carnegie’s birthplace, then Stockbridge in Edinburgh, Leith, Princess Street… and on and on. It’s a big site but you’d not know it, it’s very well designed. Third time there and we will be back 😊

Fisrt Time Visit

This was our first time at this site we were impressed with the site its self wardens as always faultless and the site was clean and tidy , all level pitches. Had a lovely two night stay over in term time so the the site was quiet and peaceful. Its as close to the town center as possible although we did walk into the center. We would return without a question.

Great spot

Being right by the Firth of Forth, with its beaches and paths makes for a great base for visiting Edinburgh - you can be on the beach with the dog and half an hour later stood in the centre of Edinburgh. Both the from-site minibus and the public bus ten minutes away give easy access to the city. Plenty of space between pitches so you don't feel hemmed in, and the site was quiet.

Fabulous staff

Pre-booked a two night stay but had to add a night whilst there, also had to cancel first night at Stonehaven. Sam, Mark, Fiona and John arranged this for us. Lovely site, good location and excellent staff.

A wonderful extra!

Campsite is rather out of the way, however there is a brilliant minibus which takes you to the centre of Edinburgh and back for £8.00 per person and dogs for free!

Nobody from Club Reads these Reviews!

Large well run site. Surrounding area is a bit dodgy - suggest you do not venture out site after dark. Staff polite but seemed very down - site was not busy - maybe site fees too high? Site description needs updating - describes Holyrood Palace as the Queens Official residence when she is in Scotland. Sadly she will not be back so come on Club get your act together.

Fantastic site but toilets need an upgrade

The site is perfect for visiting Edinburgh and the surrouding area. Have used the site quite a few times now. Air traffic didn't bother us. The only thing that lets it down is the old toilet blocks but it wouldn't stop us using the site again. Slighty pricey compared to other club sites.

Fantastic site, lovely wardens, but the toilet block is in need of a refresh

We have stayed here several times over the last few months and cannot be more pleased by the site cleanliness and layout. On our last two visits, the regular wardens have been away on holiday but the temporary cover have been doing an excellent job. The site does have aeroplanes passing overhead, but they are not too noisy or frequent, nor too late at night. There can be a little road noise if you are parked on the edge, but again, it is not too invaisive. Our main critiscism is that the toilet blocks are very "tired" and in need of an upgrade. Once that is done, we would happily rate it as 5 star.

Fantastic site, lovely staff, needs an upgrade

There is so much to like about this site. It's only a short walk to catch a bus (which are very frequent) and then there's everything that Edinburgh has to offer. It's by the Firth of Forth, and having found that you can get to Cramond Island along a tidal causeway - we'll be back. Despite the airport it's quiet and the staff are very welcoming. But (and it's a big BUT) the toilet block is seriously in need of a refurbishment. With no shower curtain your clothes are likely to get wet and the showers seem to have been designed for people under 5'8" tall. The motorhome service points are on a slight but discernible slope, so unless you contravene the one way system to get your drain on the right side grey waste does not empty. Don't get me wrong, we like it and will be back. It just could be so much better. And when will the club start including reliable wifi in the price? Commercial sites do, and at less cost per night.
