The Edinburgh site is ideal for trips in and out of the city centre and walks along Crammond promenade. The site is clean and well maintained and is certainly worth another visit. Edinburgh airport is nearby but jet noise is not a disturbance.
Great site
We stayed here in November and were pleasantly surprised at how well run and friendly the site was. We were greeted very warmly and quickly shown to our pitch. Everything was immaculate and the site itself was well organised. The dog walk in particular was a joy. Our two dogs loved it.
The situation is ideal for the Forth bridges, The Royal Yacht and the centre of Edinburgh. In our case visiting the Christmas markets. The site is also withing walking distance of the promenade on the Forth. Only small issue for me was the proximity of the road to the serviced pitches. Although not a main road it was surprisingly busy. Having said that my wife didn't think it was a problem. Perhaps for more peace and quiet it would be better to pitch on one of the non-serviced pitches away from the road.
Having said that we really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back and recommending it to friends and relatives. Thanks again for a memorable stay.
Helpful and friendly
This is an excellent, well run, clean & tidy site which we use regularly. It is only a short shuttle bus or taxi ride from Edinburgh and there are lovely walks nearby along the banks of the Firth of Forth. A special mention for site staff member Sam, who was exceptionally helpful when our taxi didn't turn up and we were going to be late for our lunch appointment. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Good Site
Really nice clean site, Depending on where your wanting to go, its not a brilliant location, if its to town, definitely get the shuttle bus or a taxi, there's no buses outside the campsite anymore, and the closest one is a 10-15min walk and its not a very nice area to stand and wait, and the bus drive is very long, but its right across the road from the beach which stretches for hours walking.
The site itself is a nice site, it has a secure dog park, large area for tents, campervan/caravan sites are very spacious, toilets are always clean, on site fish van (would NOT recommend) the shuttle bus from the site to the town is very handy, but you have to book certain times to leave and come back, and you are dropped off at the top end of town away from the royal mile but its a 10-15min walk to the mile, I would stay here again.
Good site
Well located for visiting Edinburgh City - public transport links are fairly close. Site is pleasant, and is very well looked after by the Wardens but could do with a bit of a makeover,
A lovely weekend
We had a lovely weekend stay here. We arrived at 7.30 on Friday evening and we're given a very warm welcome from the wardens. Toilets are in need of an update but are kept very clean (lovely to have the radio playing in there too) our stay was great, and I cant praise the wardens highly enough, very helpful and friendly. Edinburgh Christmas market is a lovely place to visit too. ??

Needs an upgrade
Stayed in Mid November, for three nights. The most recent of many visits. Location for Edinburgh is great, but the facilities are well overdue for a complete overhaul and upgrade. This site should be at the top of the list for the finest facilities, but the block is tired, shabby and sadly outdated.

Looking tired
We have just returned home from a long weekend and I have to agree with the previous members comments about the toilet block, they are very tired on a busy site that used to be the Jewel in the crown of the network, damaged wallboards, damaged ceiling panels, yellowed lights which are very dull to name just a few of the problems.
The wardens do a stunning job of keeping them clean as per normal for the club.
You have 2 blocks on this site and only one getting used right now so no excuse to let them get run down, come on caravan club refurbish them now
TLC
Recently returned from a trip to this site and was very disappointed at the rate of decline in the shower block. They were looking very tired and in need of an overhaul and a spruce up. Floor tiles broken and wall panels falling apart and black with mould. I'm not saying they weren't clean as the wardens were doing the best they could but they look very sad and in need of a make over. This let what is a lovely site and great for visiting Scotland's capital down! Come on caravan club!

Capital site
Just back from this site. Fantastic site, clean, tidy, spotless toilets and showers also cosy which is essential for November. Friendly staff. Ideally situated for Edinburgh, 10 minute walk to bus stop-£1.50 single takes you straight to Hanover St just off Princes St. Across the road from the site is a shortcut down to the promenade, ideal for walking, safe for the kids and adults to cycle. Ideal cycle paths over the city. Lovely walk along the promenade to a lovely pub in nearby village of Cramond. We'll definitely come again
