An excellent site with lots to do

Having been to this site once before we knew what to expect when we returned, the site is big with lots of pitches and excellent facilities, we took our grand children and they had a great time cycling safely around the site, playing with other children and using the play park. We cycled along the marine esplanade which is about two miles long which was traffic free and great for the girls. The weather was changeable so we spent most of the time in Edinburgh, the bus route is nearby and a family day ticket costs £8.50 which is great value. We did the sites in Edinburgh being Historic Scotland and Scottish National Trust members the entrance fee was included in our fees, and the Museums in Edinburgh are free, so the costs were minimal which meant we could "splash out" on meals. Took the girls on the tram which was an experience and a bit of shopping in Princes Street suited the ladies. There is so much to do in Edinburgh that a few more visits will be needed. A perfect site for exploring the capital.

Wonderful stay

Impeccably clean and quiet. Short 10min walk and then 20min ride on the bus to see all the sites.

Wonderful site whatever the weather

We arrived on Good Friday, it's not our first visit but first impressions found the site to be as good as our previous stay.  The welcome from the site staff was friendly and warm and the shop had some basic provisions that may have helped late arrivals. The location is a little out of the city which could have been a problem for those with motor homes or limited movement however the site has a fantastic minibus service that runs regularly to and from town and is great value with a friendly personal service. The site is spotless, the open areas and the shower blocks a prime example of this, the conditions as good as one could hope for. The city is a great place to explore, very reasonably priced open top busses proved a bit of a life saver as the rain was as free flowing as the wine in the wine bars. Would I recommend it? Most certainly

Relaxing stay, eventually!

What a lovely site. We stayed over the Easter weekend. The facilities were clean and plenty of showers and toilets, (no queues either, considering how busy it was). When we arrived the wardens were amazingly friendly and we were quickly directed to where we could pitch.  When we were setting up we had an issue with the water pump blowing fuses. The wardens had spare fuses and were able to direct us to the nearest caravan parts centre to get a new water pump. The site was well maintained. The bus stop to the city centre about 10 minute walk away. Taking the stress out of parking in a city centre. We had a lovely stay.

Great place for a short break

We visited for 2 nights over Easter.  It's a great location from which to explore Edinburgh withe family.  We got the bus into Leith to visit Britannia on one day and the same bus into the city centre the following day.  It's dead easy to do and we'll bring the bikes next time as the cycle paths into town looked very easy to follow.  We elected to get a taxi on the way back as it's a fair walk with children from the bus stop in the dark.   Facilities were fabulous, warm and clean.  Wardens very friendly and welcoming.  A great site and I am sure we'll be back one day.  Thanks.

excellent

This was the first time we had been to this site, and I have to say it was amazing. We have visited other well known sites and this one is by far the best. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us, I was very impressed. The bus into Edinburgh was very easy and if you by a day ticket you can travel all day on any bus or tram. Even on leaving they were amazing, I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Edinburgh Caravan park, top of the class

Superb Seasonal Stay

We have just completed a seasonal stay at this site. The site is superb; well-located, well laid-out and well-maintained (by very hard-working staff) and a pleasure to visit. The facilities are always spotless. We found the wardens to be ever-helpful, warm and friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble. Whilst visiting the office for information, or biscuits or whatever we couldn't help but notice that, without exception, all new arrivals were met with a very welcoming reception, with lots of handy information given re nearby restaurants, supermarkets, transport, walks etc. The atmosphere created by the wardens enhanced our stay and we enjoyed it so much we have already made another booking at the site.

Excellent site, lovely friendly staff

Absolutely love this site, we are lucky enough to be within an hours drive so visit once a month ideally. Staff are so friendly & welcoming , always so helpful. Site is well presented, facilities are always spotless. Love the dog walk on site for first & last walk of the day. Miss the Fish & Chip van at the weekends, but helpful staff advised few great takeaways nearby who deliver to reception area - well pleased. Cramond Inn is about 30min walk along the front. Dog friendly & great pub food.
