A Must Site to Visit and Friendly

Enjoyed our stay again at this site staff were excellent and very efficient. A big thank you to the wardens who edged the grass round my pitch it made me feel very important. I know they were doing the whole site but it made my day when I returned to my motorhome. Thanks

Great site, easy access to the Capitol

This is a jewel of a site, principally because of the easy access to Edinburgh and its attractions. You can get the bus from the nearby stop, or travel on the regular minibus that departs from the site. All at very reasonable prices too.

The dog walk is amongst the "Spoof Wood" which is rather intriguing, but also home to wildlife. Take a look for yourself!

Facilities, likewise are clean and tidy.

Downsides? Very few. There can be traffic noise from the adjacent road, but pitching toward the middle of the site would avoid that.  The site is also close to the final approach track to Edinburgh Airport, so there's some noise from approaching aircraft, but Edinburgh's not Heathrow, so hardly anything to worry about.

Overall, a really good site and another we shall return to

Edinburgh club site

We recently stayed for a week at the Edinburgh club site. Whilst in Edinburgh we visited the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. We were very lucky as the weather was great which enhanced our trip along Princes street and the Royal mile, on this trip into Edinburgh we used the on site minibus pick up/drop off, this cost a very fair £6 each return, it is not very often I get the chance to have a couple of pints at the end of the day. I would also recommend a visit to the Royal yacht Britannia in Leith about 20 minutes from the site. Site immaculate, staff friendly and very helpful as was the minibus driver, I wish other club sites offered the minibus service. Dave D.

Under the flight path

We stayed at this site for 4 days 12th -16th April. I cannot fault the site or the wardens they were both excellent. The dog walk on site was very good in the spoof wood very clean and tidy. The facilities were excellent two shower blocks kept in top condition. It rained most of the time we were here and a drop in temperature but enjoyed the site. Close to the promenade and city centre. 20 minutes or so to Ocean Terminal and the Royal Yacht. Only drawback noise from the road that runs along the site edge and you are under the flight path of Edinburgh Airport aircraft noise late at night and early in the morning.

Great access for Edinburgh

We finally made it!  We had to cancel a booking here a couple of years ago, due to a broken leg.  We were staying here to see family who live nearby, so it was perfect for us.  It is a nicely laid out site with pitches to suit everyone. The wardens were very friendly and helpful.  The site is so handy for visiting Edinburgh.  There is a bus service close by and a mini bus comes to site.  But beware the mini bus is a bit hit and miss.  We waited for it one morning, but it never showed up, so the wardens rang a taxi for us and the other couple who were waiting and we shared the fare.  The taxi arrived in seconds and got us in to the city quickly.  The close by shoreline is great for walking and there is a nice modern cafe and a quaint pub for refreshments.  We will definitely be back in the future.

An excellent site with lots to do

Having been to this site once before we knew what to expect when we returned, the site is big with lots of pitches and excellent facilities, we took our grand children and they had a great time cycling safely around the site, playing with other children and using the play park. We cycled along the marine esplanade which is about two miles long which was traffic free and great for the girls. The weather was changeable so we spent most of the time in Edinburgh, the bus route is nearby and a family day ticket costs £8.50 which is great value. We did the sites in Edinburgh being Historic Scotland and Scottish National Trust members the entrance fee was included in our fees, and the Museums in Edinburgh are free, so the costs were minimal which meant we could "splash out" on meals. Took the girls on the tram which was an experience and a bit of shopping in Princes Street suited the ladies. There is so much to do in Edinburgh that a few more visits will be needed. A perfect site for exploring the capital.
