Stopover only

Second stopover on our way to Holy Island. Excellent stopover, as quite close to the A1. This does give noise, but its NOT excessive. But the site does sit next to a vehicle yard, so early morning there is localised noise as workmen do their thing. We used the advised walk to the Park and Ride to head into Durham..... The walk was easy but great care is needed to cross very busy slip roads....Durham was worth the visit for the town, and Cathedral. As we are a couple of motorhomers, we have no need to think of the family aspect of the site, so please use other revues We would not use this site as anything other than a welcome break on a journey, but it is clean, and well staffed, with for us the only downside the lack of a TV signal in the pitch we had chosen. Three pitches to choose from, but two looked problematic with the high trees and the Strong Wind direction, with the other in a less dangerous position from falling branches, but high trees stopping reception. Again a trip round the one way system to unload grey waste
