Ease of access could not be better. Good facilities and very clean, well cared for site. Constant traffic noise, but we found that we were ignoring this after a short time and only noticed it when we thought about it. Well worth putting up with this for the easy access to/from the A1(M). Walked once to the park and ride but it was a hazardous, very uncomfortable experience and we drove to it the second time. Park and ride bus very good - frequent, quick service and free for old folk. Durham delightful. Also spent very good days at the Beamish museum, Newcastle (by train) and the Durham heritage coast.
