We've stayed at Durham Grange many times due to family in Durham. It is also a useful stopover if travelling further north. Yes it is close to the A1M which can clearly be seen from part of the site, so there is traffic noise. (Less when the trees are in leaf. Some pitches are further away and so the traffic noise is less.) But being just off the A1M, and a dual carriageway into Durham, has advantages to compensate for any traffic noise which we have never found obtrusive. There is a well-equipped playground for younger children and the facilities are kept spotless and the wardens are lovely. So all in all a good standard site which is a pleasure to return to.
