lovely walk along river bank into Durham

We are quite regular visitors due to family who live in Durham so it is difficult to find something new to say. This time I will comment on the lovely walk (or in my case run) into Durham along the banks of the Wear. At this time of year the path to the river bank is quite overgrown with grass in places but not so much as to be a serious problem (even running) and once on the river bank path there are no such problems. There are a couple of places where the path forks briefly and then joins up. The path slightly away from the river avoids a meander but maybe it is nicer to stay by the river. The path ends in a small housing estate and in no time one is then in the centre of Durham. It takes approx 30 minutes to run so maybe an hour to walk each way. Just a suggestion. Apart from that I can only repeat it is a well run site with friendly welcoming wardens.
