We stayed 7 nights here in our motorhome in August 2023. A lovely, peaceful and very attractive site, which has a very reasonable nighty rate due to having no toilet block, (comparable to the rate charged by many CLs actually). The wardens were very pleasant and our spaniel loved the dog agility course they had built in the dog field. The location was away from the often manic bustle of the main Lake district venues, but close enough to access Keswick and other popular areas if you so wish. Although there are some areas to the west coast which reflect the deprivation some of these communities experience, we had 2 lovely days at St Bees and found some really attractive and quiet little spots driving up Cumbria's north west coast. Our only negative was trying to find a pitch that was anything like level! Even on the top of levelling blocks we were climbing Cat Bells Inside the motorhome! Surely the pitches could have been dug out a little more levels than they have? However, we survived and yes, we'd go back again.
