One of the best
A beautiful site servicing the NW of the Lake District. The balance of wild meadow area vs manicured lawn is just right and the wild flowers a welcome treat, Both sets of wardens we met during our 12 night stay were perfect for the job; really helpful and friendly but not intrusive.
It is a shame that, like many others, the site closes before autumn will have finished because the woodlands and lakes will look at their very best at that time of year.
A couple of warnings however, many of the pitches are uneven and you may need a lot of wheel chocks and corner-steady supports to level your outfit. Also, you may enjoy it so much that you lose track of time and accidentally stay an extra night!
