A lovely peaceful site surrounded by fields and a water stream. No traffic noise just the sound of horses, birds and sheep. We were fortunate to see a Red squirrel ! The pitches are spaced out well and not too close together. We were at the top end of the site wherr there is a large grass area for the kids to play. Wardens were very helpful and friendly. Will definately be returning.
Perfect
Surprised how idyllic this site is. Peaceful, quiet, lovely scenery in an excellent spot. Well looked after by very friendly wardens. Pitches well laid out, great dog walking area, small, but enclosed so that you can let your dog off the lead. Our first visit to this part of the Lakes and is definitely now one of our favourites, we will be back.

A suprisingly good site
Stayed here at Easter 2015 and was very pleasantly surprised by the site. Despite being on the very edge of the National Park the site had a fantastic backdrop of a large hill. Not near any heavily trafficked road and the site was idyllically peaceful, generally with only the sound of the sheep and the birds in the background. Although it was busy and we did not get a choice of pitches they are all well-spaced out and the one we were allocated was in a decent spot in the top field which got the evening sun. Very well maintained and staff very friendly and helpful. Walked and cycled to nearby lakes so did not have to take the car out. Places to eat out in the area are too far/on busy roads to walk or cycle, but the reviews I read in the on-site review book rated some of them quite well. Definitely the “hidden gem” as another reviewer had called it.

Peace perfect peace
We love this site been for last eight Easter breaks perfect for leaving your car and walking from site Cogra Moss is beautiful and just a pleasant 35min walk away.
Wardens very welcoming and considering site was only opened a few weeks earlier they have done a great job of getting ready for new season well done to them.
Some Moron had driven right across a grassed areas between pitches when the ground was soft what a mess but after a couple of hours of attention from the wardens it was repaired seeded and looking good.
Nothing but praise for this site we will be back next Easter
Go visit you will not be disappointed this time of year the baby lambs are wonderful to watch right out of your caravan window.
Lovely quiet site
Lovely peaceful site in beautiful surroundings. There is no toilet block but we chose it for that reason, reckoning that even over the Easter weekend, the lack of that facility might deter too many families with children. We were not disappointed. Very friendly and helpful warden. Not fare from the North Lakes and a short drive to the coast. Will definitely come back
easter break
nice quite site nothing on site for children but those that where there didn't seem to care they had scooters more for couples wanting a quite break
