First time in Wales

Well our first visit to Wales and the bar has been set very high!! This is a wonderful Caravan Club site in a truly amazing setting. On arrival the wardens were lovely. Very friendly and helpful offering local information when requested on cycling and walking in the area. Generally really nice people and doing a great job in keeping the site very clean and tidy. The site has a great play area for children as well as a separate dog exercise area which were both immaculate throughout our 8 night stay. We took advantage of the location and visited several of the amazing places around which are magnificent. On the whole this is a great club site with really nice wardens in a great surrounding offering a good route to the North Wales countryside. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely Place

We visited the site for a few days earlier this month, we didn't choose the easiest route to get here but it was like a finding a "Pot of Gold" waiting for us. Wardens were fantastic, friendly and very welcoming. Will visit here again in the future as there is so much to explore and this site is a diamond of a base to work from.

Excellent facilities and site

Beautiful location, lovely quiet site with plenty of places to visit. We have a 5 year old and a 22 month old and they loved the Ffestiniog railway and Black Rock sands. Would definitely go back again

Perfect location

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this site. Great location for lots of activities with kids. Black Rock sands is a 20min drive and a great day out. The site is nice and quiet easy to get to off the main route to the coast and all the facilities were spotless clean and staff very helpful with information on activities in the local area. Definitely going back soon.

Snowdonia Base Camp - Perfect

We selected this location for our travels up, over and around Snowdon. Ideally located and near all the main points of North Wales. Its a lovely place, each pitch has its own location so you have the feeling of being on a small area and not over looked. It is very maintained and look after and very friendly staff which is always a good point. Facilities are good and with the use of the Annex during the cleaning times, you will never get caught short. Had a lovely time and would definitely go back again. Thank you for a perfect stay.

Excellent base for Snowdonia

A Quaint peaceful site in a good location for the Snowdonia National Park. There was mix of families and couples. Nice play area for the children. Staff lovely and friendly. We liked the way the campsite was set out amongst the trees.

Enjoyable visit to a beautiful area

This was our first Caravan Club site. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the wardens. The site is clean and well maintained. We stayed for 3 nights leaving our Motorhome on site each day, choosing to walk various different routes with our dog. A couple of the local paths are closed at the present moment due to National Grid works, however this was not an issue. We chose to walk up to the local lake, Llyn Trawsfyndd and then onwards to the site of a Roman fort and amphitheatre. It was a very pleasant walk approx six miles in all, it was just a pity about the weather. The following day we chose to walk the local lanes through to Maentwrog and back (rain meant the paths were pretty wet and muddy), a lovely walk with some beautiful views when the cloud allowed. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Good site for a weekend

We enjoyed our stay at Coed-y-Llwyn over the past weekend. It is a well equipped site which is kept clean and tidy. We were a bit disappointed that there were no views as such from the site, however we did not spend a great deal of time on the site during the day so this did not matter. The office staff were welcoming and helpful.

Lovely Site

Lovely site, friendly wardens. Just one thing was that we needed to use the car to give the dogs a good walk. Beautiful lake nearby but not a nice walk along a main noisy road. Good location for steam railway and lots to see and do in the area. Great area of North Wales, Snowdon not too far and a challenging walk!
