Rude Warden

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend on this site with friends but it didn't start this way. Now I may have been speeding according to the warden with his radar gun but was it really necessary to jump out the hedges running, shouting and screaming waving his arms around like a demented gorilla! He shouted at me in front of other people and treated me like a petulant child which was not necessary. I was wrong speeding but I really thought I was about to hit something with this idiots ranting and raving. I didn't have a word because I didn't want to spoil the start of our weekend but if he doesn't wind his neck in he is going to get himself in serious bother somewhere along the line. We will be back because it is convenient for us and we like it there. I do think it's quite expensive compared to other sites though and not having decent wifi in this day and age really isn't acceptable especially as the club also appears to be making a big thing of it. This is even more important at this particular site as there is no phone signal in the area. I do apologise to the other wardens as they were all reasonably polite with the exception of one who knows who he is.

I would feel so ashamed to be caught speeding and endangering life on a site I would just apologise rather than make a complaining review!

As long as it convinced you not to speed that is fine. Not quite sure how you expect the warden to draw your attention to excessive speed other than shout and windmill his arms. Do you think a smile and a wave would have got through to you?

Like Brue, I would be ashamed. In fact, too ashamed to write about it here where so many people are really upset by those who exceed the 5mph limit.

Well done the warden for getting the message across in a way that won't be forgotten.

Not one of you asked how fast I was going? I admitted I was wrong speeding but the manner I was told was more likely to cause an accident than prevent one.

How fast is pretty irrelevant. Speeding on site is speeding on site.

The warden's attitude could have caused an accident - really?

Sorry if I appear lacking in sympathy, dvs, but that’s the way I feel.

What is difficult about understanding 5mph?

I did not ask how fast because you admitted to speeding and if the warden took action I expect he considered it too fast to ignore. Beyond that I have no interest in your protestation. Read a review  saying that there was another similarly offended on a site in the last week because the warden on that site also took appropriate action.

So why not explain if we're all missing the point? As it stands all we know is that you were speeding and the warden did his job by telling you to obey the rules. Is that not the crux of the matter? You gave no clue to any other angle in your first post.

OK I guess you had to be there to understand.

What is there to understand?, you were speeding ( you admitted it) ,the warden chastised you , lesson learnt ,end off ......
