Rude Warden

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend on this site with friends but it didn't start this way. Now I may have been speeding according to the warden with his radar gun but was it really necessary to jump out the hedges running, shouting and screaming waving his arms around like a demented gorilla! He shouted at me in front of other people and treated me like a petulant child which was not necessary. I was wrong speeding but I really thought I was about to hit something with this idiots ranting and raving. I didn't have a word because I didn't want to spoil the start of our weekend but if he doesn't wind his neck in he is going to get himself in serious bother somewhere along the line. We will be back because it is convenient for us and we like it there. I do think it's quite expensive compared to other sites though and not having decent wifi in this day and age really isn't acceptable especially as the club also appears to be making a big thing of it. This is even more important at this particular site as there is no phone signal in the area. I do apologise to the other wardens as they were all reasonably polite with the exception of one who knows who he is.

What's to understand? You appeared to be noticeably speeding, you were noticed and the warden shouted and 'waved his arms around like a demented gorilla'. I doubt that he felt the need for exercise.

Not one of you asked how fast I was going? I admitted I was wrong speeding but the manner I was told was more likely to cause an accident than prevent one.

OK, I'll ask!

How fast were you going, dvstrv?

😊

You are all missing the point I didn't mind being told it was the manner in which it was done and I was told I was speeding I wasn't admitting  speeding knowingly that would be irresponsible.

I don't think any of the respondents are missing the point at all. You were shouted at. Guess what I really don't care because speeding is pretty damned antisocial.

You weren't speeding knowingly? That means you weren't paying attention to your speed which is totally irresponsible. No wonder the warden shouted.

Ah do you have relatives that were in Cornwall this summer? We saw a lot of club members who seem to think that there are two sets of rules one for the everyday members and one for special members . I presume you belong to the latter group !

What speed do you reckon you were going at?

I don't know the Clumber Park site, but given that most wardens seem to turn a blind eye to anything "just over" the 5mph limit, I'd have thought one would have to be moving at a fair old lick to attract attention! undecided
