Second stay here for us and it was lovely! Such a brilliant location, surrounded by woodlands and wildlife! We enjoyed lots of walks around Clumber Park, which we loved! The site was very clean and tidy and the staff were all very friendly. We were there for the fish and chip van which we had to try! Absolutely delicious! Glad we got them early as the queue soon grew to a very long one! Definitely stay again very soon ??
don't know why I bothered
Drove from Bolton to Clumber Park not a long drive but was looking forward to it. Telephoned ahead to say we were running late. Not very friendly from the minute she answered the phone, felt I had disturbed her. Arrived at wrong entrance, phoned to ask how we got in she rutted and put a gentleman on the phone who was a little friendlier. Came round to main reception, whist I was booking in husband started filling fresh water she said to me in a very rude manner that I should go and tell him to turn it off, pointed out that perhaps there should be a sign indicating this should not be used. We were then told to drive round and find a pitch. The site was extremely crowded and little vans were in massive pitches. We have a large motorhome and cannot park on grass. I went back to reception and asked if there were any hardstanding to be told no your too late, at which point I got back on the van and left. I have only ever encountered such rudeness from a Caravan Club Warden once before ... We drove 14 miles down the road to Millstone Cc Site there is no comparison.
It's such a shame because obviously the setting of Clumber is stunning and my grandchildren were very disappointed but I would not recommend this site to anyone. Cc normally take pride in nice happy helpful wardens . Clumber clearly missed the boat on this one.
Welcome start to caravanning
Having not caravanned for over 25 years we arrived at Clumber Park CC in our brand new caravan and were warmly welcomed by the staff. Easily found a suitable pitch (hardstanding) and after a couple of hiccups soon settled in. The shower/washroom facilities are very good even in the cold weather with continuous hot water. Other washing facilities were very good. Lovely area to visit with plenty of walks to explore the surrounding countryside. Everyone on site were friendly and happy. No Wi-Fi but hey who cares we were here for a get away from it all break!! Will re-visit again in the future and next time take along our dogs for company!!
As expected
Clumber Park CC Site lacks some of the welcome and friendliness of others but perhaps that is to be expected for such a large site. Staff were efficient if a little stand offish but gave us all the info we needed. Used a grass site which was a little muddy after the weekend of rain we had but there is little can be done to prevent that! Great facilities for children and we still managed to get far enough away from the playground to not be too disturbed. Locality is great giving easy reach to Sheffield for a spot of retail therapy at Meadowhall and National Trust properties nearby.
pring visit
Gent called John & lady with long grey hair were brilliant !!!! rest grumpy and far less helpful !! Site shower block could do with a freshen up !!! Water supplies around pitch 158 area could be closer !!! Would use site as a base for moving in other and further directions !!!
Spring 2016
A pleasant quiet site. I paid for wifi but it was hopeless. Pleasant couple of days with helpful wardens and a very clean and tidy shower block.

Wardens who listen.
Just returned from a restful week at Clumber, Parents who cannot or will not bother to control their child/children, the signs clearly state no football around the caravans there is a designated area for this purpose, but some individuals think that this does not apply to them. The wardens were informed and appropriate action and ongoing monitoring via the wardens was dealt with. We are not bar-humbug as we have children and grandchildren, but the repair for any damage could be the ruin of any nice holiday. Thank you again Wardens.
Great place to relax
The site is a great place to go walking. The national Trust has kept Clumber park looking really nice.
You can walk from the site to the lake and back within a few hours.
Dont expect to have wifi or signal as there is no signal on the campsite or in Clumber park.
I gave an overall star rating of 4 as the toilet block could do with a update but i am not complaining as you can still have a decent shower and they are all very clean.
The wardens are also really nice and very welcoming to the site when you arrive.
There is also a few places you can go out side of clumber park which are not too far to travel.
we will defiantly be returning to this site in the future .

General comments
Have recently stayed over at Clumber and to be honest won't be returning, Arrival was seamless but the wardens seems stand off'ish and not interested in interacting with either myself or my wife, site was busy and some late night noise, but that can be expected on such a large site. don't forget to use your Clumber Park key fob for FREE car parking at the NT sites, saves £7 each time, not common knowledge unless you read the info hut guideance, asked about a late departure but got told to read the info leaflet, thats fine, if I had been given one.
Phone signal
We have used Clumber many times over the years and don't expect to get a phone signal. However, during our stay here mid March we chose pitch 124 and our phones quite often picked up sufficient signal to send and receive messages and emails. We are on Tesco's O2 service. Our friends on EE got nothing however. I thought this might be of interest to some people. As usual we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
