Up there with the best

Just had a long weekend at Cirencester Park, very relaxing, quiet, friendly people including the wardens, who do an excellent job, given the provocation that they have to put up with by some members. We didn't have to move our unit as we parked correctly, yes there was the odd pile of fox poo here and there, but we are in a country park after all!!!  The site is situated within a twenty minute amble through the lovely park in the Bathurst Estate (wheelchair/mobility scooter friendly) to the ancient town of Cirencester, full of history and little nooks and crannies that house various shops, cafes, eateries, independent fruit and veg shops , great butchers, good pubs and the usual Tesco express, Morrisons, M&S food etc.You need time to fully explore this little town, but be aware that the gates to the park are closed at 5pm each day and if you are late then you will have to walk up the hill along the road, back to the site. Quite a few bus stops in the town centre with buses to many places fairly frequently. You can do without the car for a stress free break here. one final point of caution, make sure that you have a 25metre hook up as you will need it on a few of the pitches. Also agree with others that the approach road is full of potholes and needs some caution. We will be returning in the autumn.
