Great site spoilt by poor access.

Recently stayed at Cirencester Park. Great site, great location but the new access has been ill thought out and is dangerous, especially at busy times. Since our last visit changes have been made to the shared access road. Not sure who is responsible for this but the original single track access road, with passing places, has been re-routed to form a wildlife corridor. Unfortunately the single tack access has two bends in and at the time of my visit (24th - 27th July) the vegetation either side was sufficiently high to obstruct vision. The access is shared by the Cirencester Cricket and Tennis clubs along with pedestrians and cyclist from the caravan club site. Today, when I departed along with two other caravaners, our departure obvoiusly coincided with the start of a match or training and we met approximately 10 vehicles coming towards us. To add insult to injury the access road is lined with some harsh looking boulders and many of the incoming car occupants were showing there displeasure with having to reverse to allow the outward bound caravans and motorhomes to depart. So be prepared to run the gauntlet of abuse from other users, at busy times and walk with care.
