Great improvement to entrance road

What a massive improvement the new approach road is compared with the dreadful potholed road it replaced. Yes it is narrow, but there are passing spaces and once round the first bend you can see 200m, so with care will be able to pass anything coming in the opposite direction. It would be useful if the wardens did the same as at the Chatsworth site where there is an equally tight approach, and put out a sign on the Stroud road which clearly states that no unit should pass that point until the 1300 opening time! We have been staying at this site for over thirty five years and will continue to do so.

We have stayed on this site previously and enjoyed it's location close to the centre of Cirencester, but will not return because of the narrowness of the new access road and the dangerous boulders. It is probably less of a risk for a campervan or motorhome, but for a 12 m long car & caravan outfit it is hazardous. The road is too narrow, and the passing bays are not wide enough and long enough to allow a car & caravan to pull in adequately to allow another vehicle (eg a motorhome or car/caravan)  to pass, and the boulders need to be removed. I accept there are other sites with narrow lanes to access them, but these are pre-existing; at Cirencester this road is brand new, purposely designed and constructed as an access to a large caravan park, clearly sub-standard and not fit for purpose. From the many reviews this is causing a lot of concern, and it is disappointing that the Club is strangely quiet on the subject. Cirencester Park is a very nice site, and needs a better access road than the one provided.
