Cirencester revisited!

Not quite a second home, but a site we visit regularly at least twice a year being only 40 minutes or so from home. And it never fails to please! A lovely site with pitches set amongst the trees though with plenty of space and open areas for soaking up the sun (which was particularly important this last weekend!) As has been said several times before care is needed on the final approach lane which is badly potholed along the sides but take it slowly and there are no problems. For families there'should an enclosed play area and a huge playing field and for dog owners there is what must be one of the best dog exercise areas on any club site. The toilet/shower block (only 1 open at the moment) is modern, warm and kept spotlessly clean. The site was full this weekend but there was never a queue for the showers. Turn left immediately outside the site and there's a very pleasant walk through to Cirencester Park, then you can turn right to explore the town with all its shops and eateries or left to walk up the main avenue and further, up past the polo field (although dogs aren't allowed beyond the end of the main drive.) There are many Cotswold walks and villages within a short drive of the site - Bibury is particularly attractive - and many really good pubs The Bell at Sapperton and The Inn at Barnsley are two of our favourites. As expected, a fabulous short stay and we'll certainly be returning.
