Appalling access to site ruins the experience
Cirencester is beautiful and there is a lovely walk from the site into the town, which should make this a wonderful site. However the access road is so bad that it negates the positive aspects of staying on this site. To be specific, the single track access road is shared with a neighbouring agricultural college, To protect the verges, which have been seeded with wildflowers, the college have placed large stone boulders every metre or so along the road. The site is busy so it's almost inevitable that you need to reverse your car, caravan or motorhome as you are using the access road. The boulders are so large that you run a significant risk of damaging your vehicle as you are trying to make room for other vehicles to pass. It is a huge problem not even mentioned in the site's Access Statement. We spoke to other members who told us they had been visiting this site for many years but will not now return, because of the access road. We certainly won't be returning and I would not recommend the site to anyone. Really the Caravan and Motorhome Club must get involved and negotiate improved access. This issue makes this site unacceptable as a Caravan and Motorhome Club site.
