Our Personal Bolthole
Whats to say that hasn't been said before? Suffice to say that this is one of our favorite sites, it is always well maintained, has a choice of well kept grass or hard standing pitches, good play area, good dog walk on and off the site, lovely walk into town, is mobility scooter friendly, if using a wheelchair its better to walk back to site through the park (downhill), walk to town along the road (also downhill). It's become our regular bolt hole as it only takes us 30mins to reach. Good transport connections to all of the Cotswolds in town, regular bus times. It is a site where no car is needed, so everyone can relax. Loads of cafe's, dog friendly pubs, eateries, shops and supermarkets in Cirencester. Whats not to like????
Excellent half term holiday!
Great time as we did last year. I have 3 children 8, 7 and 3 and a large dog and the site is perfect. Large park with equipment for the older ones - large climbing frame, large swing and small slide for younger one. Also has a large fenced off field for children, and also another fenced off for dog walking, so you can actually let them off the lead. Only suggestion would be to provide a pathway between the two toilets so when one is shut you can easily (and quickly) get to the other one. My youngest is toilet training and following the road to the other toilet means we had a few accidents as she didn't make it in time.
Visited South Cerney for the Annual Duck race and also the Cotswolds Country park and Beach. Car park was a little bit expensive but kids had a great time. Did forget the swimmers so kids ended up with pants and tshirt and had a great time. Would definitely go back.
Super site
