Stayed here on a snowy weekend

Had a lovely break, a warm welcome and helpful staff. We woke to a wintry scene on the Saturday and enjoyed a lovely walk through the park to town. A great weekend leaving on the Monday morning we had a struggle to get going as some other visitors had parked in front of their caravans which made it difficult to get through. The site is great, the facilities immaculate and the staff superb

Well located, good facilities

Stayed for a week in early December 2017. This site is well located in terms of access from the main roads network. The last 1/4 mile is along a small road shared with the college, we had no problems with oncoming vehicles etc but we made sure to avoid commuter times. We arrived on a Saturday at which time the site was pretty close to being full (grass pitches closed), we ended up on what was probably the smallest pitch which would have been very tight to fit an awning and also park on it. Majority of pitches are good size and well maintained, looks like there are just a few small sized ones which get left until last. Facilities were excellent, lots of showers, toilet block clean. Mobile signal (EE) was good with 4G. TV reception poor, we only managed to get BBC. Remember to take an aerial cable as it can be connected to the electric points. Lovely walk from the site into the adjacent park and then into town. Not the prettiest looking site, as it's flat with little landscaping and has a large college building very visible (no noise heard). But recommended if you're looking for a well maintained site to visit the local area.

Frosty Cirencester

We have just spent six pleasant days staying here at frosty but pretty Cirencester. We had the usual warm welcome from the site wardens, and was very pleased to find the site reasonably quiet at the beginning of the week and we were able to select a very nice pitch. It did get busier as the week progressed. We loved eating breakfast and watching several species of birds in the trees behind us. We enjoyed walking into the town and although we hadn't planned to visit the museum it was well worth it and to find a nice cafe within the complex was a bonus. We did try to visit Gloucester city but trying to park even a modest motor home was out of the question so we ended up in Tewkesbury and glad we did as we spent a lovely few hours exploring the town and abbey. Also another enjoyable visit was to Westonbirt Arboretum where we walked for miles. The site itself was very well cared for and such a pleasure to find the shower block nice and toasty every morning. My only grumble once again was dogs being walked around the pitching areas of the park instead of being taken to the very good dog walk. We will definitely be coming back.

Peace and Quiet

Just spent 4 very relaxing days at one of our favourite sites. Staff worked hard to keep the site clear of fallen leaves - thanks to you all. Enjoyed the walks into Cirencester through the park and the town markets. Will definitely be back in the spring

A lovely 3 days at Cirencester

I have had a lovely three days at Cirencester park. The shower facilities were clean and warm. Really appreciated as it was quite cold whilst I was there. The only thing which was slightly annoying was the times for cleaning the shower blocks, on most sites it is in the morning but at Cirencester it’s in the afternoon between 2and4 which means if you come back from a day out ,mid afternoon and want a warming shower you have to wait til 4pm. But apart from that one little niggle everything else was perfect, and the wardens are friendly as well. On the approach Road you have to dodge the potholes and if you arrive on a week day during term time you have to dodge the students from the nearby college as well. But will definitely be going again, I’ll just make sure I arrive at the weekend

November in Cirencester

The site was lovely ideal position for visiting Cirencester within walking distance, good dog walk and adjacent Bathurst Estate for exercising the dogs. Some pitches are a bit tight for some vans ours included with water point opposite this prevented us from being able to site van exactly on the white peg. The warden came and insisted that we were too close to the next van and might have to move he was rather rude and upset our weekend. During the evening the site electrics kept tripping out and the warden asked if we could all use our gas for heating after we had paid for a hook up.

Autumn at Cirencester

Lovely site, enjoyed our stay, Autumn colours at there best. With the park so close and an easy walk into Cirencester make a great place for a 3 night break. Shame about the road into the site, time this was repaired.

Always enjoy our stays at Cirencester Park

As one of our favourite short stay sites we visit Cirencester Park a couple of times a year. Despite most of the grass pitches and one of the two toilet/shower blocks being closed off from October there are still plenty of hard standings available but it does get busy over weekends so pre-booking is advisable. After negotiating the potholes down the approach lane past the college (the lane could do with re-surfacing) the site is as you would expect, well maintained with spotlessly clean facilities. The wardens are pleasant and helpful. Not always quiet as the site is under the flightpath from Heathrow but after the first few aircraft you tend not to notice. A short walk into town via the Bathhurst Estate path is pleasant and takes around 15 minutes. For those with dogs, there are acres of fields & parkland to excercise them and the site itself has a large, fenced dog field. A good meeting place for fellow dog owners while their dogs play. Within a short drive there are major supermarkets and the town has an abundance of small (although some expensive) shops and eateries. We highly recommend this site.

Last minute booking - what a gem

Booked site on late availability, while touring in a motorhome - stayed 2 nights. Wonderful walk into town via park extremely pleased with location & site overall. Brilliant dog walks on & off site. Marlborough arms good old british pub with good beer & atmosphere, dog friendly. Good food shopping waitrose/tesco/m&s. Plenty of places to eat out. Shall return for sure.
