After being a member of the CMHC for a few years now, Chester Fairoaks rates as possibly our favorite site. While we do have personal reasons for traveling up to Chester from our home in Oxfordshire fairly regularly, this takes nothing away from the fact that it is a great site. First of all, possibly the best toilet block we have ever come across on any site - from the contemporary decor to the sparkling cleanliness and radio 2 playing reassuringly in the background. Secondly, the Wardens - all so enthusiastic and so very welcoming, particularly Sharon, who always makes us smile. There is also Jessica, the site cat, who sort of camps out in the warm information room - we pay her a visit most nights when we go for a walk before turning in for the night. Of course, just across the road is the massive designer outlet village - we always walk across - 10 minutes max. So the last 3 years we have spent our Christmas here. Typically, we arrive on the 23rd and leave just before the site fills up for New Year. Each of the last 3 years, we have been joined by around 30 other vans, which is just perfect for us. I would recommend this site to anyone.
