First time that we have used a caravan club site after joining a month ago. Wanted a site that was less than an hour away from home at this time of year so this was a good choice. We stayed for 2 nights. Our pitch backed onto a farmers field with horses in so this gave it a countryside feel. Good location for Chester - 20 mins in car and within 10 mins walk of Cheshire Oaks. Nearest pub is located about 400 yards away ( The Rake) which allowed dogs in so ideal. Site was very clean and well maintained and the toilet/showers were spotless. There is a secure dog area which was useful. Not sure what it was like walking the dog away from the site. It's worth noting that most of the retail shops on Cheshire Oaks allow dogs in. Staff were very helpful and friendly and this was highlighted on the Friday evening when I ran out of gas. Within 10 mins the matter had been sorted with a new bottle purchased on site. I have seen the various comments with regards the lane outside the site, you just need to be cautious when using it. It felt good to get out in the caravan again after a couple of months. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again.
