If you can arrive fairly early try to get pitch 56.The view across the racecourse to Cleeve Hill is brilliant,especially when the weather is as good as it was when we were there for 3 midweek nights last week.We only came here at short notice,we couldn't get the dates we wanted elsewhere,but I'm glad we came.The park n ride buses are very close by if you are not inclined to walk into Cheltenham (20mins).From there it is just a 40 minute ride on the bus to Gloucester for the historic docks and the lovely cathedral,so there is plenty to do.If you can make it I recommend a walk round the racecourse perimeter (about 3 miles I reckon)nice and peaceful.You could even break your walk and have a drink and a bite to eat in The Plough,beer poured from the barrel,don't see that too often,and the homemade burger and blue cheese sauce etc etc,well,I wouldn't giving that another go !! The facilities on site are maybe a little dated and the staff,we think,do a fantastic job with what they've got,and with a smile too.Thankyou
