Glad we arrived early on the Friday before Bank Holiday as by the afternoon the place was packed. Preferred the grass to the hardstanding as felt it was a bit like pitching on Tesco carpark otherwise. Grass pitches have the best views, we managed a great spot overlooking the racecourse and the very helpful wardens suggested we park nose in to get the best view - how nice was that! As usual facilities impeccable. Very convenient for the park and ride. There was building noise from the new stand and also a fun fair that was over the other side of the course but as it wasn't red hot sunshine we didn't do too much sitting outside so it didn't disturb us too much. There is no grassy areas for children to kick a ball or play and no playground but there were still quite a few children about on the site. All in all a good place but you do need to choose your pitch carefully as views are very restricted otherwise.
