We have just returned from this lovely site after spending the bank holiday (May) here for 2 nights. We'd read about the need for levelling blocks as the site slopes from all sides but found that we did not need them. True our 27ft unit wasn't perfectly level but neither was it uncomfortable or troublesome. The true beauty of this site is no matter what the weather you're not dragging loads of dirt into your motorhome or caravan when parked on the tarmac. This proved really useful as it persisted down all night , each night and was beautiful during the day drying out the tarmac very quickly. The walk into the charming town of Cheltenham took about 15 / 20 mins pushing my wife in her wheelchair, downhill going uphill coming back but nothing to put you off. The park and ride is virtually onsite just the other side of the boundary fence if you need it, we preferred the lovely walk through the park. We'd read that the toilet blocks were a bit old and iffy but they were far from it proving to be clean, warm and serviceable. The true crowning glory of this site is however the lovely wardens, very welcoming and accommodating. The lady helped to pitch us advising the best one level and watched whilst we reversed back to the main building. We tried 2 or 3 pitches till we were satisfied and she was very helpful. We've never come across "bad" wardens but these were particularly nice. we shall return.
