Good location; tired facilities
We spent 2 nights on this site in our motorhome at the end of August. The access road is narrow so it's important not to arrive early. It was our first time on this site, although we have previously stayed on the neighbouring commercial site.
On arrival we received a very warm welcome and found an excellent pitch at the rear of the site.
The facilities were disappointing. Tired and as others have pointed out in need of upgrading. This was the first time we have seen mould on the ceiling of shower cubicles on a club site, although the rest of the facilities were clean.
The site is within easy walking distance of the village, including the local supermarkets and the gorge. The gorge itself was disappointing. At the end of August, in school holidays, much to our surprise the area looked very run down with some businesses closed. We had lunch at the Riverside and can recommend the "sharing ploughman's" for very good value, although the service there can best be described as "diffident"
We won't be tempted back to the area anytime soon
