Good Location
As the title says the site is handily placed, not only for the Gorge and the town itself but to get to the other well known places such as Wells, Glastonbury, Weston-super-Mare etc. There are buses that will take you those directions so its good for motorhomes. It's also good for dog walking and cycling.
What of the site itself? Great if you like your sites and units pitched like wagon trains. 2 main circles with the bigger one having vunerable units in the middle in case of attack by the Injuns. The ones in the middle have grass pitches. Not sure what the club will do with these when its open all year. Some of the pitches have large trees hanging ovef them and it is impossible to avoid pitching underneath them. We were lucky and just had a large hedge which was very welcome to stave off the strong westerlies. Others back onto a hedge which separates the club from the local football ground. Some noise can be expected on game days but its not Premier League stuff. The road noise is not intrusive. The site entrance is very poor and needs much better placement. Do not arrivd before time as you may be embarrassed by having to reverse the 100 yards or so around a blind bend.
The sanitation block is showing its age. The 4 cubicles, more really needed, are old and small. Water pressure is poor especially in one or two of the toilets. The water emptying point for the Motorhomes is right in front of the exit barrier. A silly place to put it as it can cause delays when the next unit exiting also wants to use it!
All in all an ok site but needs some maintenance on shower block, overhanging trees and emptying point for M/Hs.
