A nice site, but limited facilities and expensive
We stayed at the Cheddar for two nights, after having stayed at independent sites on the previous 10 nights; the main reason for staying here was to be close to Cheddar Gorge. The site is clean and tidy, and reasonably spacious - although unlike our other sites the pitches are not sectioned off (either individually or as groups of 5 to 10). The toilet block although clean and warm was very small for the number of pitches.
Our main gripe was the price - over £23 a night for two adults - especially given that this was very much at the end of the season. Our previous stays were at ACSI approved sites, which had significantly better facilities for significantly less (£13.50 a night near Dartmouth, £17.50 a night near St Ives). Cannot understand why the C&MC have to charge such high prices!
