Nice site but...

As you would expect the site was beautifully maintained and facilities were spotless. The wardens were always on the go, very friendly and helpful. We were using the site for a two night stopover on the way to Northumberland. During our visit we walked to Chatsworth House, which is a must. This was our first visit to this site and had been on our list for a long time. We were a little disappointed by the site, we felt it was very compact and felt a little claustrophobic. Therefore not for us. But a little advice for anyone wishing to visit this site - after a two hundred mile journey, as planned, we arrived just after the 1 o'clock arrival time. Do not bother, leave it till later. as we drove down the single track entrance, we were faced by a queue of over 16 units waiting for the warden to allow us over the hump backed bridge to book in. While we were waiting, the queue behind us almost reached the road. Arrive after 2.00 it will be a lot easier.
