Spent a very pleasant day at this site. As already described it is clean and tidy and was made welcome by the lady warden. I think the male warden was having a bad day because he constantly looked angry! The site is well located and is great for Chatsworth House and some lovely walking. Remember though, it is a nice site but no better or worse than many other club sites. Its location is an excuse for hiking prices (no arrivals before 1.00!!). There are many commercial sites that are cheaper and offer similar facilities. Motorhomes are ideal for touring rather than setting up for long stays on one site. Too often sites such as Chatsworth are not available for short stays but incongruously are also overpriced! I would like to see less Flagship sites and more non shower block sites at sensible prices. I am sure many will enjoy their stay at this site bit it certainly is not a panacea for the club.
