We have visited this site many times over the last 25 years. Our latest trip at the beginning of December for the markets and Twilight House opening. This site is a flagship site for the club, but a great many of the pitches are appalling now. You would be hard pressed to find the gravel for the mud My other gripe is the arrivals queue which develops at 1 o’click, if any of you have visited Rowntree Park at York, they use a fast track system which avoids queuing outfits, they check you off on their list at the gate, and you go on and pitch, then visit the office and pay later. This queue at arrival time at Chatsworth prevents you from returning to site if you’ve been out for the morning unless you queue with the arrivals. The pressure on site staff to check everyone is as fast as possible turns their job into a stressful time and could be made so much better by the fast track system and make their job less fraught, and the customers first contact more friendly. End of rant!!
