Holiday at Chatsworth

Hi My wife and myself went to the Chatsworth Caravan Site for 5 days mid October. We also took our very excited Labrador, Jasper. Even though the weather was very damp and particularly we came after a period of very wet weather, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. We took their advise and arrived about 2pm. We went straight through the dreaded lane and was the first in line to book in. We stayed on one of their super pitches which worked perfectly. The facilities were good and clean. Even though there was a dog walk on site it is not very big and not lit enough. There was a lot of dogs on this site an I believe the clubs rules to be very anti dog. The key through to Chatsworth is worth itself going to this site. Miles of walks, a restaurant, even a place to eat with your dogs and a picnic cafe. Whilst there we also went along the cycle track from Hasop into Bakewell which again seemed to be reasonably dog friendly. Lovely site well maintained and we will definitely return. Only other downside is that you need cash to pay for anything from the shop.

Same on all caravan club sites as the stock is paid for by the warden (including gas) and they generally do not have a personal card machine. Once you are aware that should not present a great problem.
