Another good visit to this site. The facilities are spot on and the wardens were very helpful and pleasant. We spent five nights here from the 1st January onwards. We hoped to get out walking more but it rained very heavily. There is a superb dog walk and a mini shower dog wash. We had pre-purchased timed tickets to enter Chatsworth House to see the Dickensian Christmas displays and on our day my husband had a bad migraine and was really ill. I telephoned Chatsworth and the staff were really helpful and rebooked the tickets for another day. The display was marvellous and well worth seeing, it must take weeks and weeks of planning and preparation. On our last night some motor homers arrived about 7p.m. and set up and presumably spent the evening in one of their vans because at 23.45 they made a lot of noise coming out and saying their goodnights and then further banging around as they set up their beds for the night. If it is you and you read this please remember that others are in bed at this time and be respectful with noise levels.
